(PP 13,876 expired) Delosperma 'Kelaidis', named after Colorado rock garden guru, Panayoti Kelaidis, is a marvelous ice plant that appeared in 1998 as a seedling in a patch of dwarf alpine collections of Delosperma cooperi that crossed with Delosperma nubigenum) at the Denver Botanic Gardens. The flat 3' wide mass of long, narrow succulent leaves are topped with stunning salmon-pink flowers, starting for us in April, and continuing until the heat of summer. Delosperma 'Kelaidis' is perfect for the rock garden where a low groundcover for a hot, well-drained site is needed.
