Zingiber mioga 'Crug's Zing' is a Bleddyn Wynn-Jones/Crug Farm wild collection of mioga ginger from Chejudo Island, Korea. The dark green, 4" wide x 14" long leaves cloth the 4' tall upright fleshy stalks. Zingiber 'Crug's Zing' is a reasonably quick spreader, forming an 8' wide patch in good soil in five years. The base of each stalk is adorned with orchid-like, burgundy and yellow bicolor flowers from September until a hard freeze.
