Yucca aloifolia 'Mediopicta' is an extremely difficult to find cultivar of the Southeast US native Spanish dagger yucca. We spent decades hunting for this, before finally finding a single plant at San Diego's Rancho Soledad Nursery in 2004. Propagation is anything but fast, easy, and safe, so this is the first time we've been able to offer it, and even now, quantities are limited. Yucca aloifolia 'Mediopicta' forms a 5' tall patch of 3" thick upright stalks, each clothed with 15" long, rigid leaves with a green border and center banded with many shades of gold and cream. Terminal stalks of white bells top the clump in late spring.
