We are ecstatic to offer for the first time, the recently published new species, Trillium delicatum. It was first described in 2019 from plants in central Georgia, where it grows in low floodplains. In appearance, Trillium delicatum resembles a miniature Trillium decumbens, but without the prostrate stem. In the garden, Trillium delicatum forms a fast-offsetting clump of stalks that matures at a short 3" tall. Each stalk ends in with three olive green mottled leaves. For us, flowering starts in mid to late March. Our flowering-size plants are garden division propagations made here at JLBG, from our first planting in 2014. This is a very rare species that should never be collected from the wild for sale.
