(A1NC-026) Our offering of Trillium cuneatum 'Oconee Red' are from our nursery seed propagated stock from an original collection from Oconee Co., SC. The sturdy 10" stems are topped with attractively mottled silver and olive leaves, which are in turn topped with three liver-colored floral petals, which give off a sweet fruity fragrance, starting in mid-March (NC). The non-offsetting Trillium cuneatum is an extremely easy and attractive species to cultivate in the woodland garden. Our offering are six year old plants that have already flowered once in our propagation beds. For us, Trillium cuneatum is dormant by mid to late May.
