Rudbeckia deamii is a little known Southeast US native black-eyed-Susan that grows taller than the more common Rudbeckia sullivantii 'Goldsturm'. The basal rosettes of oval, hairy green leaves give rise in early July to nearly 3' tall stems, ending in large, yellow, black-eyed-Susan flowers...another winner from the Southeast US!
