The Fashionably Early series of phlox are an improvement on one of our favorites, Phlox 'Minnie Pearl'. Plantsman Hans Hansen and his breeding staff have worked to improve the density, habit, and add more colors to the original selection of Phlox carolina. Phlox 'Fashionably Early Crystal' starts flowering for us in late April with 32" tall stalks, and continues well through spring. As the flowers age, they develop a lavender blush toward the throat. After flowering, you'll enjoy the glossy dark-green, highly mildew resistant foliage. Phlox 'Fashionably Early Crystal' is slowly stoloniferous as compared to the more tightly clumped Phlox paniculata forms.
