'Sweet Shelly' peony is another great hybrid from our friend and peony breeder Roy Klehm. Each 28" tall stalk of the mid-season blooming Paeonia 'Sweet Shelly' is adorned with extremely nice foliage and topped with large, lightly fragrant, Japanese-style flowers composed of a double row of red petals, highlighted with a large central nosegay of creamy white...the red-tipped floral stigmas add a crowning touch. Paeonia 'Sweet Shelly' has excelled in our heat trials here at Juniper Level Botanic Garden.
