Paeonia 'Angel Cheeks' has been a top performer in our heat and humidity trials, which is why it was awarded the American Peony Society Gold Medal Award in 2005. This 1970 Carl Klehm introduction is a Paeonia lactiflora hybrid that produces sturdy 28" tall stalks, each topped with several large, mildly fragrant, pink bomb style flowers. For us, in early May (late mid-season), each clump produces in excess of three dozen flowers...truly spectacular!
