(aka: Steironema lanceolatum) Lysimachia lanceolata 'Burgundy Mist' is a GroWild Nursery, Tennessee selection of the Eastern North American (Wisconsin south to Florida) native lance-leaved loosestrife. Lysimachia 'Burgundy Mist' was selected for its new burgundy foliage, compared to the typical green. Lysimachia lanceolata forms a 2' tall x 3' wide patch in 2-3 years, clothed with linear leaves, and topped, starting in July and continuing all summer with small bright yellow flowers. Native to moist, partially shaded meadows, Lysimachia lanceolata thrives in a variety of soils including both saturated and alkaline regimens. Pollinators like native bees also love the nectar from Lysimachia 'Burgundy Mist'.
