(aka: Liriope sp. Nov CPC 5.5.01.3) Liriope vernalis is a new clumping liriope species that we've named from a Darrell Probst discovery in Sichuan, China. Liriope vernalis forms a small 10" tall x 20" wide, non-spreading evergreen clump of 1/4" wide green, arching leaves. Unlike all previously known liriope species which flower in summer, Liriope vernalis 'Lavender Springs' starts flowering for us in mid-May, with 1' tall spikes of small lavender flowers. Be one of the first people to grow this exciting new discovery.
