This deer-resistant, 1980 tetraploid Louisiana iris introduction forms a robust, 3' tall clump of vertical green leaves topped, starting in mid-May, with large, 5", light lavender-blue flowers...a hummingbird treat. Iris 'Professor Paul' is equally happy planted in moist soils or 4" of standing water.
