Iris ensata 'Sakura Komachi' is a 1982 introduction from Japanese Iris breeder, Toyokazu Ichie. The tight clumps are topped with 2' tall spikes of large blush pink flowers, highlighted with darker mauve veins. Flowering starts for us in late May. Iris ensata 'Sakura Komachi' can be grown in regularly moist garden soil, as well as a marginal aquatic.
