Hosta 'Golden Pixie' is a 2023 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of our 2007 hybrid, created in search of vigorous dwarf hostas. This complex hybrid involving Hosta venusta, Hosta 'Gemstone', and Hosta 'Cheatin' Heart' is an improved version of the old standard, Hosta 'Feather Boa'. Hosta 'Golden Pixie' makes a dwarf 3" tall patch of wavy-leaf rosettes of gold foliage that slowly expands outward, eventually to 18" in width. The clumps are topped with short spikes of lavender flowers for us in mid-June.
