    Gentiana 'Blue Star' is a new selection of the Japanese Gentiana makinoi that we obtained for trials, so we have a few to share with members. This sport of Gentiana makinoi 'Marsha', forms a 1' tall x 1' wide clump, topped with upright-facing deep blue flowers. Best results will be in a full sun location with compost amended soils, that drain well, but never dry out for long periods.
