Epimedium 'Crime Scene' is a 2014 Far Reaches Farm introduction of a cross between Epimedium grandiflorum 'Queen Esta' and Epimedium acuminatum. New growth of Epimedium 'Crime Scene' emerges for us in mid-late March with dark purple stems, clothed in leaves that are also heavily purple-blotched. The horizontally arching branches are adorned with large pink-sepaled, raspberry-cupped flowers...a lovely floral show that is perfectly accented by the amazing foliage. Epimedium 'Crime Scene' forms a slowly spreading patch to 2-3'.
