We have really enjoyed Terra Nova's Echinacea 'Big Kahuna' in our trials. This beefy, 28" tall, well-branched clump is topped, starting in mid-June, with large flowers of tropical tangerine...each petal morphing toward yellow near the tips and orange toward the central cone. The upright habit, sturdy stems, and insanely fragrant (from 10-15' away) flowers make this a great garden selection and an absolute bumblebee magnet. Once the first flush of flowers is finished, give 'em a Marie Antoinette and they will re-flush with more flowers into October. Have you been told by friends or spouse that you need to get some kahunas? If so, here's your chance. Well-drained soils are always a key to success with echinacea.
