(aka: Lamprocapnos spectabilis) A great new color moment in the woodland garden presented itself with the arrival of Dicentra 'White Gold', which started life as a random seedling in the New York garden of Margaret Dalton. We have been very pleased with the vigor of Dicentra 'White Gold' in our trials, despite the seeming paucity of chlorophyll. The 18" tall x 18" wide deciduous clump is composed of arching stems, clothed with bright golden foliage, and in late winter/early spring, adorned with terminal spikes of pure white, heart-shaped flowers...truly stunning!
