(aka: Cypripedium calceolus var. parviflorum) Cypripedium parviflorum var. parviflorum is an American native ladyslipper that has been virtually unavailable from propagated stock until recently. We are pleased to be able to offer a limited number of seed grown, flowering-sized plants of this Midwest/East Coast woodland native. In very late spring, the 1' tall upright stems of Cypripedium parviflorum var. parviflorum emerge clothed with large fuzzy leaves. As they finish unfurling, you will find them topped with an exquisite, bright yellow, pouch-like flower, backed with long mahogany sepals. Once established, yellow lady slipper clumps will develop into multiple stemmed prizes worthy of including in your will. In the wild, Cypripedium parviflorum var. parviflorum prefers moist, but well-drained sites...spread the roots out horizontally and plant shallow...only for advanced gardeners!
