We were smitten from the first time we laid eyes on Convallaria 'Golden Slippers' in 2006, and was determined to add it to the catalog. Only the lack of supply has deterred us until now. Convallaria 'Fernwood's Golden Slippers' comes from Maine nurseryman Rick Sawyer, who discovered it as a sport at his Fernwood Nursery. The lovely chartreuse golden foliage, which is brightest in spring, makes a slowly spreading deciduous groundcover...great for brightening a shady woodland garden. The plants are adorned in spring with small, lightly fragrant, white, dangling flowers...simply delicious!
