Chrysogonum 'Quinn's Gold' is a 1998 discovery by Niche Gardens founder, the late Kim Hawks, of a unique form of our native Chrysogonum repens in her husband Jerry Quinn's home garden in Pittsboro, NC. The evergreen rosettes produce semi-upright flowering stalks, starting in mid-April, creating a 6" tall x 2' wide specimen. The flowers emerge typical yellow but age to white, creating a unique color combination in the woodland garden. Average moisture soils and conditions from light open shade to a few hours of sun are best. This is named after Kim's late husband, Jerry, who passed away in 2007 from complications of Agent Orange exposure.
