We are thrilled to finally offer Carex 'Echigo Nishiki', an extremely rare white-frosted leaf selection of the deciduous Japanese sedge, Carex siderosticta. This virtually-unknown cultivar was brought to the US for an American Hosta Society auction back in the early 2000s, but never managed to get into the nursery trade. Carex 'Echigo Nishiki' forms a dense 5' wide patch in 20 years, when grown in rich, moist, organic soil.
