Carex muehlenbergii var. enervis 'Nobillissima' is a 2026 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of an amazing sedge from a 2022 Patrick McMillan collection near Noble, Oklahoma. For us, it's formed a tight 1' tall clump of narrow, green foliage that arches out to 4' in width, topped, starting for us in early April with an excellent floral show. In the wild, it's found in dry, sandy prairies, mostly east of the Mississippi River, but it has also thrived for us in ammended, well-irrigated loamy soils.
