Here's a canna lily for gardeners who like their plants a little on the flaming side. Canna 'Flaming Kabobs' is a hot little number shared by our friends at Yucca Do, who picked it up at a plant sale in nearby Houston, Texas. Canna 'Flaming Kabobs' is possibly a wild species or more likely a natural first generation hybrid that originally emigrated from Mexico...before there was a wall. The basal foliage of Canna 'Flaming Kabobs' is a lovely glaucous green resembling Canna glauca, while the 5' tall flower scapes are topped during the summer with narrow-petalled scarlet red flowers with a thin, irregular yellow border.
