Calanthe 'Pink Lipstics' is the pink flowered seed strain of the hybrid calanthe orchids that resulted from crosses between Calanthe sieboldii,kawakamii, tricarinata, and aristulifera. The 2' tall stalks rise from among last years basal foliage in mid-April, each adorned with small light pink flowers, usually with darker pink to purple lips. Rich woodland soils result in the best specimens.
