Baptisia 'Yellow Towers' is a 2017 release from Plant Delights/JLBG as the third member of our Towers series of false indigos. This four-way family tryst that gave rise to Baptisia 'Yellow Towers' included Baptisia australis, alba, albescens, and sphaerocarpa. The bare-legged Baptisia 'Yellow Towers' shoots up from the ground for us in mid-May, near the end of the main baptisia season. The grey asparagus-like shoots age to green as the 52" tall clumps reach toward the sky, ending in 18" spikes of large buttery yellow flowers...quite superb!
