Aster 'Ashivi' is the rare white-flowered form of the spreading groundcover, Japanese native Aster ageratoides. Aster 'Ashivi' makes a spectacular 2' tall x 10' wide weed-choking patch in 10 years topped, starting in late October (NC), with sprays of frost-tolerant 1" white daisies...great for attracting a fall crop of butterflies. Thanks to Ed Bowen of Opus for sharing this.
