Aspidistra 'Hanado Raku' is a 2024 introduction of a fascinating new cast iron plant that we've had the pleasure of trialing since 2019. This unique selection has leaves which are 26" long x 3.5" wide and heavily spotted white...a completely unique color in cast iron plants. The flowers appear to be an Aspidistra sichuanensis hybrid. Our garden plants of Tokyo Skies cast iron plant died to the ground after 11 degrees F, but they re-flushed in late spring. Everyone who sees this is sure to say, Wow!
