(aka: Aspidistra daibuensis A1TW-355b) Aspidistra attenuata 'Alishan Broad' is our 2008 collection from 5,300' on Taiwan's Mt. Alishan. The 34" long x 4.5" wide green leaves are lightly speckled yellow. The basal flowers, produced in early February (NC), are simply amazing...resembling red jester caps with yellow tips and a yellow throat. Aspidistra make superb, easy-to-grow, low-light house plants where they aren't winter hardy outdoors.
