This offering of the Great Basin (Colorado and Utah) native is seed grown from a sandstone ledge collection @ 5,100' elevation in Wayne County, Utah. Yucca harrimaniae 'Wayne's Whorl' makes a great rock garden-sized 18" tall specimen. The compact specimens are composed of a very short trunk and a 2' wide terminal whorl of stiff, hairy, narrow, grey-green leaves. When the clumps mature, they produce 30" upright spikes of large white bells...similar to the taller-spiked Yucca angustissima. As with most plants from the Great Basin region, good drainage is important in both summer and winter.
