Trillium underwoodii 'Lumpkin Lightning' is our nursery-propagated seed strain, originating from a 2006 collection near Lumpkin (Stewart County), Georgia. Here it grew just above a massive grove of needle palms. Seed set here on Trillium underwoodii is quite poor, hence the 18 years it's taken to have enough to share. The Georgia forms of Trillium underwoodii emerge later than the typically offered forms from North Florida. The stunningly mottled foliage tops the 8" tall purple stalks. This is a non-offsetting species.
