Honey...I shrunk the trilliums! Several years ago, we began to notice the occasional miniature flowering plants in our seed blocks of Trillium foetidissimum, so we began isolating them to make sure they stayed true to size. Finally, in 2020, we have accumulated enough to share of our new strain of Trillium foetidissimum 'Toadlets'. Other than being midgets, these 2-3" tall trilliums are similar to typical Trillium foetidissimum, including flowering. Obviously, you'll need to select a very special location away from other aggressive woodlanders (i.e. gnome and fairy gardens), where you can enjoy these in all their miniature splendor.
