Trillium decipiens 'Russellmania' is our seed-produced strain of the lovely Trillium decipiens from East Central Alabama. Unlike the North Florida forms of Trillium decipiens, the Alabama forms emerge later, and flowers for us in late March (NC). The stunningly camoflauged leaves are green with prominent silver centered veining and held atop 9" beet-red stalks. The leaves are topped with 2-3" tall carmine red petals...a real stunner. These set very poor seed for us, so our stock is extremely limited. As with all spring ephemerals, Trillium decipiens goes dormant by mid-May.
