(aka: Tricyrtis macropoda A1K-161) Tricyrtis macropoda is a little known toad lily from China and Korea, which is thoroughly mixed up in the commercial trade. Our Tricyrtis macropoda offerings are seed grown from plants we found near Wando, Korea on our 1997 expedition. Tricyrtis macropoda 'Wando' makes a large patch (2' wide in 10 years) of 2' upright stalks, clothed in 3" wide x 5" long, large, fuzzy green leaves that tightly clasp the stems. In August (NC), the clump is topped with terminal flower cymes of reflex-petalled white flowers with purple speckling.
