(aka: Sedum kamtschaticum var. ellacombeanum) Sedum 'Cutting Edge' is one of those plants that we love more each year. This new variegated low-growing stonecrop was discovered by Illinois sedum specialist Brent Horvath, who introduced it in 2016. Sedum 'Cutting Edge' is a yellow-edged form of the Japanese native groundcover Sedum ellacombeanum. Each 6" tall clump is composed of small green rosettes, each edged in a chartreuse yellow. The clumps, which slowly widen to 2', are topped with terminal yellow flowers in mid-summer...easy-to-grow and superb for the partially rock garden, but it performs best in very light open shade to a bit of morning sun.
