(aka: Scutellaria integrifolia var. multiglandulosa) This rare southeastern native can be found growing in sandy open forests and clearings from South Carolina south to northern Florida. In the garden, Scutellaria multiglandulosa makes a 10" tall x 20" wide clump of thin, dark purple stems topped in May and June with small, light blue, skullcap-like flowers. We have found Scutellaria multiglandulosa very easy to grow with a half day of sun in a well-drained garden site. Our offering is seed grown from plants native in Laurens County, Georgia.
