Sarracenia flava 'Black Ascot' is a 2020 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a clone of yellow pitcher plant that we received years ago from SC botanical guru, Reverend Doug Walker, which he originally found in Colquitt County, Georgia. The 2' tall yellow pitcher is nattily attired with a purple-black ascot-shaped spot in the middle of the neck, where you expect an ascot. Remember that even well-dressed pitcher plants secretly like to keep their toes moist.
