(aka: Polygonatum odoratum 'Carlisle') Polygonatum odoratum 'Angel Wing' is one of four different wide-edged sports of Polygonatum odoratum 'Variegatum'. Polygonatum 'Angel Wing' was discovered as a sport by Massachusetts plantsman Roy Herold. Like Polygonatum 'Double Stuff', Polygonatum 'Angel Wing' is a vigorous grower to 3' wide in 5 years, with nice branching rhizomes and an extra wide, creamy leaf edge, but with a stalk that emerges red and ages to green. Polygonatum 'Angel Wing' is adorned with small, dangling, white tubular flowers in late April (NC). Average to slightly dry soils are fine.
