Finally, Physostegia virginiana 'Miss Manners' is no longer a spinster thanks to a fabulous breeding development from plantsman Darrell Probst. Physostegia 'Pink Manners' is an outstanding, tightly clump-forming, deer-resistant, obedient plant that reaches 4' tall with clusters of light pink, well-behaved flowers, starting for us in early July...taller and with a larger head than Physostegia 'Miss Manners'. This North American native (Canada south to Florida) is a great addition to the summer flower garden as well as being a great cut flower. Physostegia 'Pink Manners' prefers a moist soil but is very tolerant of average garden conditions as well as short periods of drought.
