Phyla nodiflora 'Ramble On' is our 2024 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of the native Verbena family groundcover, better known as frogfruit. This vigorous, dense-growing groundcover hails from the lower part of the US, from North Carolina all the way to Oregon. For us, it's been evergreen in Zone 7b. Although it is usually found in moist soils, it's also amazingly drought tolerant. The butterfly-attracting stalks of flowers are borne atop 1' tall spikes all summer and remain in full flower until frost.
