Phlox x procumbens 'Pink Profusion' (Phlox subulata x stolonifera) is a Jim Ault hybrid that's blown us away in our trials. Our two-year-old plants formed a 4' wide ground-hugging patch to only 3" tall. The narrow green leaves create a thick evergreen groundcover in full sun. In spring, the patches are topped with a dense show of lavender pink flowers held just above the foliage. Good drainage is the key to best performance. You're sure to love this gem for the rock garden.
