Monarda 'Blue Moon' is another in the line of non-running, mildew-resistant bee balms from the great perennial breeding program at Walters Gardens. The 20" tall x 3' wide clumps of Monarda 'Blue Moon' are clothed in deliciously minty dark green leaves, and topped, starting for us in early May (NC) with terminal clusters of 2.5" violet flowers...a favorite of foraging bees. Monarda 'Blue Moon' shows excellent vigor in our trials despite no obvious attempts at horticultural world domination.
