xMangave 'Queen for a Day' is a truly OMG 2023 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction from the work of plantsman Hans Hansen of Walters Gardens. This crazy sport of his earlier introduction, xMangave 'Mayan Queen', has jagged-edged, glaucous blue-green foliage with a dramatic dark purple border. The largest plants we've managed so far are 18" tall x 3.5' wide. This is sure to be a stop-em-dead-in-their-tracks container specimen where it isn't winter hardy. We've spent over six years building up enough plants for a first offering, so available stock is very limited. Like all mangaves, xMangave 'Queen for a Day' does not die after flowering.
