Malvaviscus drummondii 'Split Personality' is our named introduction of a particularly nice variegated form of the US (Arkansas through Texas) native turk's cap, shared by plantsman C.J. Dykes. We've grown several variegated forms, but none prior to this has maintained the variegated pattern well year to year. Each maple-shaped leaf is heavily patterned with random creamy white sectors...a great plant for ADD gardeners. Starting for us in mid-June, the bright orange flowers that resemble aborted hibiscus flowers cluster at branch tips...one of the blingiest plants we grow!
