Only one word is needed...breathtaking! We are thrilled to finally have enough of the amazing Lilium x sulphurgale 'Vico Gold' to share. This amazing lily had its birth in the garden of the late Sir Peter Smithers (former British spy with Ian Fleming), who crossed his wild Burmese collected Lilium sulphureum with the vigorous Chinese Lilium regale. The amazing Lilium 'Vico Gold' produces giant 7' tall stalks, topped, starting for us in mid-June with clusters of horizontally pendant, huge gold yellow trumpets, which are obscenely fragrant. The neighbors are sure to think you ran over the Calvin Klein delivery person. Thanks to plantsman Wade Mahlke who shared our start of these from Sir Peter's garden.
