From Michigan's Michael Bovio comes this amazing 1999 introduction that offers a dramatic improvement in vigor and heat- and disease-tolerance over all of the previous selections. The bright silver leaves are surrounded by a narrow, contrasting green border. Starting in late April, the plants are topped with snapdragon-like, soft violet-pink (RHS 84A) flowers. For covering large areas of moist shade (up to 3' each season), this is a superb choice.
