This much sought-after selection of H. ventricosa looks just like the species plant, except that it emerges with brilliant gold foliage in the spring. As the weather warms, the foliage changes to green (viridescent). The 3' wide clumps are topped with 26" scapes of large, dark purple-and-white striped bell-like flowers in midsummer.
