Hosta 'Totally Awe Sum' is one of those strange hostas you either love or hate...I happen to be in the former camp. Hosta 'Totally Awe Sum' is a bizarre mutation of Hosta 'Sum and Substance' that forms a small clump of crinkly, contorted leaves similar to Hosta 'Stitch in Time'. Each leaf is edged with a wide green border that ages to gold. The center of each leaf is a wide patch of lighter green/chartreuse, separated from the outer band by a squiggly, narrow white pattern. Hosta 'Totally Awe Sum' is a very slow growing collector hosta that eventually forms a 16" tall x 20" wide clump. If you've been looking for a hosta that stands out from the crowd, Hosta 'Totally Awe Sum' is it!
