Our 1996 release resulted from a cross of H. 'Gold Scepter' x H. yingeri (H. 90-353). H. 'Sweet Tater Pie' has thick, waxy leaves that are very wavy. The glossy, chartreuse-golden color (brightest in spring) changes throughout the wavy leaf like shadows on a mountainous terrain. The 30" wide clump is topped with purple, star-like flowers in midsummer on 28" tall scapes...the perfect southern dessert!
