When a great hosta is made even better, it's a truly exciting event. Such is the case with everyone's favorite, Hosta 'Fragrant Bouquet'. Plantsman Hans Hansen doubled the chromosomes and voila...a superb new hosta. H. 'Sweet Innocence' makes a 2' wide clump of thick, light green leaves surrounded by a luscious, wide, creamy border. Even with the amazingly wide borders, we have seen no burning in our trials. In late summer, the clumps are topped with 2' spikes of very fragrant, large lavender flowers. This is sure to be one of the new classics.
